Big Red Barn members Ken Glastre:  Guitars, Mandola, Vocals

Ken has picked guitars since his days in a surf rock band in southern California in the early 60's (you do the math). His multifaceted talents as singer and instrumentalist have been heard at numerous festivals including Art on the Green, Artfest, Folkfest, and Pinesong, as well as local Spokane venues that have come and gone over the last 25 years. Ken is highly skilled with his work on acoustic instruments, and is sought out as one of the leading soundmen in town.

Big Red Barn member Charley Gurche:  Banjo, Dobro, Vocals

Charley has played banjo for 25 years and has performed at Art on the Green, Artfest, the Seattle Folklife Festival, with the Spokane Symphony and on KPBX. Charley is a world-class free-lance landscape photographer (www.charlesgurche.com ), and once accidentally left a banjo on a mountainside where it had been propping up a tree-limb for "the perfect picture". Charley also plays dobro on some of the more bluesy numbers.

Big Red Barn member Patrick Klausen:  Bass, Vocals

Patrick has been playing guitar and bass since high school in various folk and blues combos.  In 2000 Patrick produced "Jombo Schlondorf", his own CD of original tunes. By day he is the Production Director at KPBX, Spokane Public Radio and moonlights as a live sound technician for Ken Glastre’s Perfect Wave Productions sound company assisting with events like Artfest and Art On The Green.

Big Red Barn member Kevin Brown:  Mandolin, Guitar, Vocals

Kevin rented a mandolin on a whim in the mid-90's and hasn't been the same since. In addition to his picking Kevin writes many of the band's original tunes.  An avid roots-music enthusiast, Kevin hosts the weekly radio show Front Porch Bluegrass on KPBX, Spokane Public Radio, heard every Sunday afternoon at 1:00 pm.  By day Kevin writes software in his home office out back next to the chicken coop.
